Why Mold Solutions SoCal

Why test with us.

We don't sell remediation you don't need. When treatment is required, you decide with the lab data in hand.

Independent lab partner

An accredited third-party lab processes the samples, so the report doesn't depend on the company that might quote the treatment.

Full property diagnostics

We look for the cause as well as the mold, so the plan deals with the moisture too.

Plain-language reports

Spore counts, species, comparisons, and recommendations, written so you can act on them without a PhD.

No upsell pressure

If you don't have a mold problem, we'll tell you.

Rentals and commercial buildings

We inspect homes, rental units, and commercial properties anywhere in Los Angeles County.

Two Services

Testing and inspection answer different questions.

Testing tells you whether there is mold in your home or workspace and how much. An inspection tells you why it's there and what can be done about it.

Specialist mold testing

There are several kinds of mold test. Call or use the contact form and we'll suggest the one that fits your situation.

Indoor air quality inspection

Our technicians use diagnostic tools to find airborne mold and the moisture behind it.

Expert Diagnostics

Full property inspection.

Our technicians bring professional diagnostic tools and read the conditions in your home room by room.

The aim of the inspection is to form a picture of why a mold problem exists and what can be done about it.

  • Behavioral contribution & occupancy patterns
  • Relative humidity mapping room-by-room
  • Moisture content of surfaces & substrates
Our Approach

Three kinds of mold test.

Which one fits depends on what you're seeing and what you need the result for.

Air-O-Cell flow indicator device used for non-viable mold spore sampling

Non-viable testing

Air samples are analyzed for both alive (viable) and dead (non-viable) mold spores. The lab records spore count per cubic meter alongside the species present.

Living mold spores cultured on a Petri dish in an independent laboratory

Viable testing

We capture mold spores in a mold trap. Captured spores are then cultured on a Petri dish. Any living (viable) spores reproduce, and the species are identified and recorded.

Surface & tape testing

Dust and surface samples are collected from suspected areas and analyzed by an independent laboratory for spore count and genus identification.

Data-Driven Testing

What the report tells you.

Testing determines whether mold is present, how severe it is (spore count per m³), which mold strains are present, and how those readings compare against contextual baselines.

The results come back as one report on the air quality in the home and whether any mold remediation is needed.

  • Spore count per cubic meter, per zone
  • Genus & strain identification
  • Contextual comparison against outdoor & baseline samples
  • Plain-language report & clear next steps
